WORK

The main task for the Order is to support and help in
a Christian spirit to those fellow human beings who are sick or in
mental distress. The charitable works of the Order are flexible and
performed
both in Sweden and abroad. Every year the Order gives priority to particular
social, medical or scientific projects, as well as providing help to
individuals, keeps a certain level of readiness to assist, if urgent
needs arise. The Order is also proactive in finding solutions to particular
aid projects which can later be taken over by the State or by NGOs
with larger resources. Every knight is also personally expected to
assist
those in need to the best of his ability.
Part of the Order's financial resources is directed towards tasks abroad. Since the re-establishing of the Order, it has supported the Christian work in the Holy Land at a hospital and school in Bethlehem run by Svenska Jerusalemföreningen. The rest of the international aid of the Order is mainly carried out in co-operation with the Alliance.
